The city of Southaven has approved the re-opening of the farmers market, which has been clsoed for over a year due to the pandemic. Mayor Darren Mussellwhite says the city recently made some repairs to the facility and are hoping to get it up and running within the next week. The farmers market in Southaven is located in the old car wash building off Highway 51 and Main Street, right next to the fire station. Vendors will be charged $20 a week or $50 a month to lease a space at the market, and must sign a waiver holding the city harmless from all claims, damage, or losses arising from participating in the farmer’s market.
