A pedestrian bridge will be built in the Pinch District. According to the Memphis Business Journal, the bridge will cost nearly $4,000,000. City officials say they expect construction to begin in Spring 2020. The bridge will provide safe passage from the Pinch District to the Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid and the Cook Convention Center. With St. Jude in the middle, The Pinch District is a historical part of downtown Memphis bordered by the Wolf River Lagoon to the west, Market Street to the south, Danny Thomas Boulevard to the east, and A.W. Willis Avenue to the north.
