Mississippi is sending more help to Florida in the wake of Hurricane Michael.

Search and rescue teams, power company crews and relief organizations are all doing their part.  And now, a couple of National Guard helicopter crews are standing by to assist. They are the same Guard unit from Meridian that sent two of its heavy-lift helicopters to the Carolinas after Hurricane Florence last month.

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency expects additional state resources to be deployed to Florida during the long recovery process.
